A Mother's Love

Part One

I often sit and wonder why,
I had to sit and watch you go by
and yet no pain will let me cry.                                          

I watched you with such a sigh.
I felt numb as I watched you die,
and yet no tears did I cry.          

I want to feel your warmth, to see your smile,
oh my darling Deanne I loved you so much,
yet I know I'll never feel your touch.

All alone with my thoughts
I feel angry, bitter, all sorts,
yet I'm all alone.

I feel no one cares for me,
they just leave me in my house
with nothing to foresee.

For them it's just a passing phase
I feel stuck in a maze,
so I sit stuck in a daze.

Pt Two

Now as I sit the first 4 months have gone by.
At times I feel like I want you by my side,
the pain I feel makes me so low,
yet no memories still will flow
but I want you home and I know
you do come and go.      

People still say 'hi' and go,
still to them I must be ok
I don't show the pain as there's nothing nobody can do.
But I love you
and want you
so for now
I'll shut it
everyone out
and cry
