and I was born to die.
Tell my dad to wear my medals on his chest,
I am a soldier and I tried my best.
Tell my brother to be proud,
I'm a soldier I died on the ground.
Tell my sister to lay flowers down for me,
I am a hero who lies under the sea.
My duty was to serve the country,
I tried and I died humbly.
Mum, Dad I'm your son, and now I'm
over and done.
Brother and sister, I'm your best friend,
Please try not to pretend.
I have gone now,
And my duties aren't to fight or cry,
I am a soldier and I was born to die.
