Maybe

Maybe one day when peace will come,

And land straight in the heart of everyone

Maybe all war and violence will end

And joy and harmony will prevail.

 

If only all the people upon this earth

Would join in force to make it stop

Let the leaders fight for themselves

Why should the innocent lose their lives?

 

Maybe all the people should stand and unite

Let the leaders know that they're on their own

Put them on the frontline so they can see

That what’s going on is down to them

 

Maybe we should turn our backs and walk away

From those that think what’s best but only talk

How many more innocent lives will they waste

Let’s unite and just say no, let them go fight

 

Maybe in time, but so many have been brainwashed

I hope I will see the time when peace comes by

But don’t ever forget about the innocent dead

Just because of something a politician had said
