I'm standing where the market did
In what once was a thriving town,
Where buildings full of Industry
Have since been all pulled down,
A market to be proud of
Had sixty stalls or more
But nowadays the count has dropped
At best between ten and four
The obligatory Supermarket
Has taken most the trade,
Charity shops take over
As well known names just fade
They like to say it's progress
And moving with the times,
But towns losing their Heritage
Well surely that's a crime.
