Sometimes I think I am forgetting your face
and then I remember your smile.
Five years is a long time to miss you,
but I'll see you in a while.

I never did have to say goodbye
co's you never really went way,
You are my muse and inspiration,
You're here with me every day.

You were a champion at your sport,
the sport of Crown Green Bowls,
it gave you much more pleasure
than a footballer scoring goals.

You worked hard and never moaned;
you showed us how to be,
and it is because of you that you were here
and now you're a part of me.
